The use of the software :
I am interested in the use of software programmes in the teaching precess,
I found a lot of them in mathematics,some of them are suitable for high school and college,like DeriveI attend a workshop in UAEU.
then I started to look for a software which suitable for elementary stage ,I find
Geogebra,suitable for all the stages of education ,schools and colleges,
I will start teaching geogebra in ECAE as a part of the curriculum.

Day 4

Adding games to blog page
Sooo nice,helpful to the students in understand their topics .
I my self made a lot of games to help the students understanding some ideas in math.
Thinking that some times you make the imaginary ideas touchable,
I find amazing sites talking about the games in education

WebQuest

What is a WebQuest?

is a learning activity using by educators.its not a real web site ,with less technology.and can be saved as a word document.

There are two kinds of webquest

• long term WebQuest:1 week to 1 month


• short time WebQuest:designed to work for less than 1 week
  "A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web.

Since those beginning days, tens of thousands of teachers have embraced WebQuests as a way to make good use of the Internet while engaging their students in the kinds of thinking that the 21st century requires. The model has spread around the world, with special enthusiasm in Brazil, Spain, China, Australia and Holland. "(1)

Teacher can use the webquest in the classroom,by creating it by themselves or by finding it on the Internet.

webquest has three parts

• introduction: Write an introduction to your WebQuest that will give students some background about your topic. Try to interest them.Include some general information, a picture, and/or audio files.


• What is expected from the students to do with the webquest,answer questions or writing essay


• explain how to do by giving the students a list of information(2)

The benefits of the webquest:

To use new techniques in merging the curriculum with technology that develop the students' higher thinking skills and to study the web-quest, what it contains, how it is designed and recognise its effects to enrich the teaching learning method.

إن طرق التدريس الحديثة بجعل الطالب محورا للعملية التعليمية ومركزا لها لا تتم الا من خلال المدرس المدرب الواثق من نفسه وعلمة الغني في تجربته حيث يكون المعلم هو المرشد والمراقب والناصح لطلبته حيث يستطيع المدرس ان ل يكون هو المرجع الوحيد للمعلومه بل هو يعلم اين من الممكن البحث عنها سواء في المكتبة أو الإنترنت وبهذه الحالة فإن ا لمدرس يقلص من دورة ويقلل من شرحه الا لما كان ضروريا ويقول بعض خبراء التربية أن دور المعلم الحديث لا يغطي أكثر من ربع ما كان يقوم به المدرس التقليدى.
إن الإعتماد على الألعاب في الدرس ( التعلم باللعب) له دور أساسي في تكوين شخصية الطالب وألإعتماد على نفسه اكثرمن غعتمادة على المدرس وربما يكون دور المدرس مقتصرا على تعليم الطلبة اصول اللعبة او ترك الطلبة إستنتاج طريقة اللعبة التي تكون متجهة نحو تعليم الطالب فكرة معينة .يعتمد أسلوب التدريس الحديث على فكرة جعل الطالب هو محور العملية التعليمية، فالمعلم في الفكر التعليمي الحديث ما هو إلا مراقب ومرشد لطلبته وهو ما يسمى بالإنجليزية student centered teaching methodology، وبالتالي على المعلم تحجيم دوره وتقليص كلامه، فلا يمتد إلا إلى الضروري للشرح والفهم، أما باقي الأنشطة والتمرينات، فنسبة لا تقل عن 70% لابد أن تترك للطلبة. "ولأهمية ذلك سأحكي لك على عجالة فيلم فيديو عرض علينا كمدرسين في إطار دورة تدريبية قام بها بعض المتخصصين الإنجليز. "..فصل في دولة أوروبية (أيرلندا) يضم عدد (15) من الطلبة في المرحلة الأساسية، المادة التي سيتم تدريسها: الألمانية (أي لغة ثانية): قام المدرس بشرح عدد من المفردات الجديدة مع الطلبة من خلال التمثيل دون أي استخدام للإنجليزية. أشار إلى الكرسي، ثم قال اللفظ بالألمانية: stuhl جلس على الكرسي قال: sitzen أشار إلى شخصه (أنا): ich بدأ في تكوين جملة: ich sitze auf den Stuhl أشار إلى الطلبة طالبًا منهم (واحدًا تلو الآخر) القيام، ثم قال: sitze ثم طلب أن يكوّن جملة: ich sitze ثم سأل: (على ماذا تجلس؟): auf was الإجابة: Stuhl استمر الدرس هكذا لمدة 20 دقيقة تعلم الأولاد خلالها 10 أفعال مختلفة مكونين جملاً تبدأ بالفاعل (ich). Day 7

we started our day talking about the previous lesson then the benefits of the webquest
and how we can create it, the parts of the webquest, and how to find it.
its so nice to write the site in English and finding some webquest in Arabic .
then we talked alot the benefits and limitations of using the technology

• The positive points were,the different style of learning,different skills, motivating,availability,changing the routine and the cooperative learning.
• the negative effect where ,availability,the levels of some students might not fit, can make arguments overflight between students,sharing,cultural issues,teacher training and the language.

Day 6

To day is a great day,we started with

• the mid course evaluation
• New assignment (talk about the benefits of the blogs) easy I will ask the Internet to give me some new ideas about this assignment,I have some ideas but I have to put some advanced ideas
• we have to make a link to wiki , easy here it is
• use the link to find the papers of my colleagues , the new is when I click the name I can find the address at the bottom bar.
• Drill and practice ,the word drill means a tool to bores holes, I looked to the dictionary to find another meaning for this word (repeated exercise)
• its inerestedto know about the 2nd life software, and simulation software, I remember the first time where they use the simulator ,in training the pilots and drivers

we started our day talking about the

We will start to day with mind maps-graphic organizing Student cantered learning: the students (we)wrote those ideas about the student cantered learning, ever group gives about 5 points.

Day 5

We started our day by talking about the previous day ,then our teacher started talking about the mobile as a good device for telecommunication.

• how people learn,some people can learn alone, I my self learning by depending on my self,reading the subject ,trying to understand every single word, especially in physic's. Some people prefer to learn by group, and some by bear learning, not only by teacher.
• Software programs most of them not free,where the student can chat with each other,using school software avoid silly things .
• using wiki for cooperative learning.
• Discussing Groups forums:I like the on line discussing and there are some useful sites like

• Then we talked about Identity thefts, I need some time to understand some of this subject

Word Verification

I hate to access to my blog because of the verification word (verification from verify which means to prove some thing is true), this word is written in a mystery way and challenging you to write it while it's not able to be read. it appears to you saying that type the verification word, I tried to read it and analyse the letters of the word and I get F (fail)

I asked my self what is the benefits of this word, I discovered that its very important, and without the verification word we will be threatened.

Any body knows why????
